See His Face

SEE HIS FACE
(A Song for the First Friday of Lent)

Verse 1:
When you see the lonely, lost in the night,
When you hear the cry of hunger’s bite,
Do you turn away or stop and see?
My child, that’s where you’ll find Me.

Chorus:
Whatsoever you do for the least of these,
You do it for Me, you do it for Me.
Look in their eyes, see My grace,
In the poor and broken, see My face.

Verse 2:
When the stranger knocks upon your door,
Or the beggar stands in need of more,
Will you walk on by or lend your hand?
My love is found in every land.

(Chorus repeats)

Bridge:
I was hungry, I was cold,
I was weary, weak, and old.
Did you love, did you care?
Did you see Me standing there?

Verse 3:
Now the cross is calling, walk My way,
Give with love, don’t turn away.
For the greatest gift, the truest call,
Is to serve the least, to love them all.
