Near To The Broken

"Near to the Broken"

(Inspired by Psalm 34:18)

Verse 1
When the night is long and the tears won't cease,
When my soul is weary and I long for peace,
I hear Your whisper through the pain I feel,
You're the God who wounds, but You're the God who heals.

Chorus
You are near to the brokenhearted,
You lift the lowly and the lost.
You bind the wounds of the weary soul,
You carried mercy through the cross.
Though I fall, still You remain—
Faithful through the fire and rain.
You are near… near to the broken.

Verse 2
In the silence, when hope feels far away,
You draw closer than my breath to pray.
You see the ashes, You speak new life,
You turn my mourning into holy light.

Chorus
You are near to the brokenhearted,
You lift the lowly and the lost.
You bind the wounds of the weary soul,
You carried mercy through the cross.
Though I fall, still You remain—
Faithful through the fire and rain.
You are near… near to the broken.

Bridge
You never turn from a contrite heart,
You hold the pieces torn apart.
With every scar, You write Your grace,
I find Your glory in this place.

Final Chorus
You are near to the brokenhearted,
You lift the lowly and the lost.
You bind the wounds of the weary soul,
You carried mercy through the cross.
Forever safe within Your name—
You are the shelter in my pain.
You are near… near to the broken.
Yes, You are near… near to the broken.
