"Wait on the Lord"

(Inspired by Psalm 27:14)

Verse 1:
In the silence of the night, when fear begins to rise,
When shadows try to steal the light that’s shining in my eyes,
I lift my heart to heaven, I call upon His name,
For I have learned to trust the One who never turns away.

Chorus:
Wait on the Lord, be strong, take heart,
He’s never failed, not from the start.
Through every storm, His grace will pour—
So I will wait, wait on the Lord.

Verse 2:
When answers seem so far, and hope begins to fade,
I’ll stand upon His promises, unshaken, unafraid.
His timing is perfection, His plans are always good,
So I will rest in His embrace, just like He said I should.

When weary days surround me, and prayers seem slow to rise,
I’ll fix my eyes on Jesus, my helper, strong and wise.
His Spirit walks beside me, His Word my steady guide,
And in the waiting, I will grow — held safely in His light.
