Like A Child in Your Arms

🎵 “Like a Child in Your Arms”

(Inspired by Psalm 131:1–3)

Verse 1:
My heart is not lifted high, Lord,
My eyes are not proud today,
I’ve left behind the striving,
The things too great, too far away.
I rest in Your gentle presence,
In peace I find my stay,
Like a child held close and quiet,
In Your love I choose to stay.

Chorus:
Oh Israel, hope in the Lord,
Now and forevermore,
He’s our calm in the storm,
Our peace through every door.
Like a child in His arms,
Safe and still in His grace,
Oh I’ll trust in You, my Father,
All the days, all the days.

Verse 2:
No longer restless or weary,
My soul is quiet within,
You teach me gentle surrender,
You heal the pride and sin.
I lean upon Your promise,
Your mercy holds me near,
You are my heart’s true comfort,
In Your voice I have no fear.

Chorus:
Oh Israel, hope in the Lord,
Now and forevermore,
He’s our calm in the storm,
Our peace through every door.
Like a child in His arms,
Safe and still in His grace,
Oh I’ll trust in You, my Father,
All the days, all the days.

Bridge:
When the world shouts loud and hurried,
You whisper, “Peace, be still.”
You lift the humble-hearted,
And teach us to trust Your will.

Final Chorus:
Oh Israel, hope in the Lord,
Now and forevermore,
You’re my calm in the storm,
My peace through every door.
Like a child in Your arms,
I will rest in Your embrace,
Forever trusting You, my Father,
All my days, all my days.
